The Village of Cameron (pop 1839) is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Public Works.

The applicant shall have 5 years of experience working for a public works department, preferably with supervisory experience. The preferred person should have a municipal water operator’s certification and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The applicant will also have experience in operating and maintaining heavy and light equipment. Selected individual will be responsible for administrative functions of the Street, Park, Cemetery, Water and Sewer Departments including budgeting, long-range planning and personnel management for a 3-4 person department. The preferred person will be expected to be able to perform a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks as required for the efficient operation of the Village water utility, sewer collection system, lift stations, and other related equipment. Attention to detail, hands-on work style, and customer service skills are critical; project management and strong communication skills are essential.
