VILLAGE OF CAMERON REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 2019

            The Cameron Village Board met in regular session on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cameron Village Hall. Members present: Steve Johnson, Dave Ebner, Ben Hester, Russ Hulback, Randy Hill, Tim Wall, with Mark Trowbridge presiding.

 

            Also present: Jaden Ebert, Mike Lynch, Chuck Bellows, Aaron Peterson and Gary Strand.

 

           The minutes of the July 8, 2019 regular meeting and the July 15, 2019 special meeting were mailed out prior to the meeting. Ben Hester moved to approve the minutes of the July 8, 2019 regular meeting and the July 15, 2019 special meeting as printed, second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0

 

            The August payables were presented in printed form. Russ Hulback moved to approve the payment of the August payables and additions as printed, second Tim Wall. Carried 7-0

 

APPEARANCES:

           Public Comment: There were no public comments.

            Bill Koepp was not in attendance.

            Jaden Ebert submitted his written report and had nothing to add.

            Mike Lynch submitted his written report and had nothing to add. Mike supplied the board with two quotes for a computer to replace the computer in the Durango. Randy Hill moved to approve the purchase of a Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged from TKK Electronics at a cost of $3,475.00, second Ben Hester. Carried 7-0

            Aaron Peterson appeared before the board to request separating parcel 111-1270-20-000 (910 N. 4th St.) back into two parcels, as it was in the original plat. Aaron will be building a house on the empty lot. Mark Trowbridge moved to approve splitting parcel 111-1270-20-000 back into two parcels, second Steve Johnson. Carried 7-0

 

Bartender license application for Jerry J. Carpenter was presented for approval. Russ Hulback moved to approve the bartender license for Jerry J. Carpenter provided all criteria have been met, second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0

 

OLD BUSINESS

            Dave Ebner reported that the Street Committee met and Gary Strand told them that they have gotten the final approval from the State for the Safe Routes to School project, and are just waiting for approval from the CN Railroad for two crossings.

 

NEW BUSINESS

            The board discussed the garbage hauling contract and decided to hold off on putting the garbage hauling contract out for bids until they explore the option of extending the current contract another year.

            Jaden received two estimates to repair, paint and caulk the windows, shutters and doors on the Village Hall, along with painting the overhead doors and service door on the garage. Randy Hill moved to accept the estimate from Stain Shop to repair, paint and caulk the windows, shutters and doors on the Village Hall, along with painting the overhead doors and service door on the garage at a cost of $2,183.52, second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0

            Roger Olson submitted a request to attend the 2019 Municipal Court Clerk Seminar in Wisconsin Dells September 26th and 27th. Mark Trowbridge moved to approve Roger Olson’s attendance at the 2019 Municipal Court Clerk Seminar in Wisconsin Dells September 26th and 27th , second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0

            Gary Strand from Cooper Engineering presented an agreement for engineering services for design coordination, and construction engineering of 1,300 LF of urban street, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer utilities and wetland delineation and stormwater management planning for 120 acres served by new street, which will be funded through the revenues from the Tax Increment District. Mark Trowbridge moved to approve the agreement for engineering services from Cooper Engineering as presented, second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0

            An agreement from Wisconsin Central Ltd was presented for approval for the installation of an eight-foot wide timber and asphalt sidewalk crossing on 11th Street at a cost of $8,170. Dave Ebner moved to accept the agreement from Wisconsin Central Ltd as presented, second Steve Johnson. Carried 7-0

            Mark Trowbridge read the Proclamation supporting National Rail Safety Week, September 22nd to 28th, 2019,

           

As there was no further business to attend to, at 6:47 Russ Hulback moved to adjourn, second Tim Wall. Carried 7-0
