VILLAGE OF CAMERON REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2017

     The Cameron Village Board met in regular session on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cameron Village Hall.  Members present:  Jim Turner, Russ Hulback, Travis Turner, Randy Hill, Dave Ebner and Mark Trowbridge presiding. Absent: Ben Hester.

 

     Also present: Bill Koepp, Gary Strand, Bob Olson, Mike Lynch and Leiah Fundell.

 

      The minutes of the February 13, 2017 regular meeting were mailed out prior to the meeting.  Jim Turner moved to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2017 regular meeting, second Dave Ebner.  Carried 6-0

 

     The March payables were presented in printed form.  Jim Turner moved to approve the payment of the March payables and additions as printed, second Russ Hulback. Carried 6-0

 

APPEARANCES:

  Public Comment: No public comments.

Bill Koepp reported that construction season is nearing and it appears we should be having another good season. Bill also stated that he is working with Wayne Haglin and Gary Strand on solving the water and sewer issue on the residential lots Wayne is selling on Clayton Street.

Mike Lynch submitted his written report and added that he and Bill Koepp are working on getting property owners to clean up some of the properties that are looking bad.

Randy Hill moved to transfer the proceeds of the sale of the 2013 Charger squad car into the Capital Outlay Account-Law Enforcement Vehicles account when it is sold, second Jim Turner. Carried 6-0

Dave Ebner moved to approve the quotes Mike provided for equipping the new squad car when it arrives, with the total cost of the equipment being approximately $5,000, second Russ Hulback. Carried 6-0

 

Bartender license application for Chelslyn M. Randolph was presented for approval. Dave Ebner moved to approve the bartender license for Chelslyn M. Randolph provided all criteria have been met, second Travis Turner. Carried 6-0

 

OLD BUSINESS

The Parks Committee recommended enclosing the pavilion at Guy Spiers Park so it can be secured to prevent vandalism there. To totally enclose the pavilion the committee recommends purchasing four (4) roll-up windows and two (2) steel entry doors at a cost of $2,383.90 from Menards. Randy Hill obtained a price of $100/door for installation from a contractor, but he will check with the village crew to see if they have time to do it. Jim Turner moved to purchase the four roll-up windows and two steel entry doors from Menards at a cost of $2,383.90 along with the $600 installation cost if necessary, second Russ Hulback. Carried 6-0

 

NEW BUSINESS

A draft Grievance Procedure was presented for approval. Jim Turner moved to approve the Village of Cameron Grievance Procedure as printed, second Travis Turner. Carried 6-0

 

As there was no further business to attend, at 6:32 Randy Hill moved to adjourn, second Jim Turner. Carried 6-0
