VILLAGE OF CAMERON REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, APRIL 9, 2020

DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS, THE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING WAS HELD AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER TO PROMOTE SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING.

 

 

            The Cameron Village Board met in regular session on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cameron Community Center, 512 W. Main St.  Members present: Steve Johnson, Tim Wall, Dave Ebner, Ben Hester, Randy Hill, Russ Hulback with Mark Trowbridge presiding.

 

            Also present: Jaden Ebert.

 

 

            The minutes of the March 9, 2020 regular meeting were mailed out prior to the meeting. Ben Hester moved to approve the minutes of the March 9, 2020 regular meeting as printed, second Dave Ebner.  Carried 7-0

 

            The April payables were presented in printed form. Tim Wall moved to approve the payment of the April payables, with additions as printed, second Ben Hester. Carried 7-0

 

APPEARANCES:

            Public Comment: There were no public comments.

            Bill Koepp was not in attendance.

            Jaden Ebert submitted his written report and added that due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we are unable to charge interest on past due accounts and we can’t shut their service off for any reason.

            Mike Lynch submitted his written report and did not attend the meeting.

 

OLD BUSINESS

            None

 

NEW BUSINESS

            Jaden requested to purchase 12 replacement trees for the parks at a cost of approximately $100 each. Randy Hill moved to approve spending up to $1,200 for trees (no pine trees) at the parks, with the funds coming from the Parks Capital Outlay Account, second Russ Hulback. Carried 7-0

 

            David Ebner gave an update from the Street Committee, stating that the bids came in for Romsos Avenue and in order to cash flow all of the items that were bid, it will require extending the life of the TID by three years. Roger is working with Ehlers to get the necessary meetings done to extend the TID. Dave also stated that they are hopeful of starting the Safe Routes to School project in June.

 

As there was no further business to attend to, at 6:18, Ben Hester moved to adjourn, second Dave Ebner. Carried 7-0
